Message: Hi, normally foreigners cannot get a mortgage in Thailand. Bangkok Bank has several times offered mortgages for condos via their branch in Singapore, but according to our experience most or nearly all requests have not been approved.

Message: Hi there, a question about the Ocean 1 building.
Official they started in june this year, but until now I do not see any movement in the construction site. On a daily base I check the webcam's (2) but only see concrete trucks going in and out , possible to VT 7. Do you know the status of Ocean 1 ????

Message: Hi Hossein, buying a condo has no influence on getting any kind of visa in Thailand. Getting a residence visa is a little bit difficult and there are a lot of conditions. Basic conditions are, that you have lived in Thailand permanently for at least 5 years and you can speak a little bit Thai. Plus some other conditions i.e. you have worked permanently 5 full years with a work permit in Thailand and you have paid income tax over the last 5 years.

Message: There are a lot of homes (single family residential) listed. How do you recommend that foreigners take ownership of the properties. Corporation, 30 year lease? I know that foreigners cannot legally own land in Thailand. Thanks for any info!

Message: Hi Terry, your info about a new condo project in Naklua is right. However it will be 'only' 38 storeys. An outstanding condo with 5 lifts including one lift only for the executive units, an entrance hall 13 meters high. They will start selling shortly and end of September you will find detailed information and prices about this project on our web site.
